Resize/Resample
You can stretch or shrink the size of your picture, or a selected area, using the Resize/Resample command.

New Picture Size
Here you can enter the new dimensions of your picture or selection. You may choose from a list of preset sizes, manually enter a custom size (the first number represents the new width and the second represents the new height of the picture.) You may also choose to resize based on a percentage of the original picture size. You can change the unit of measurement used to specify the custom size, by clicking the measurement indicator (Inches
) to the right of the custom size fields.
The
and
buttons can be used to add and remove choices from the list of preset sizes. To add a new size, enter the desired dimensions in the custom size fields and click
. To remove a size, select it from the list and click
.
The Maintain Aspect Ratio option helps prevent the picture from becoming distorted. When this box is checked, PixelNEO will come as close as possible to the custom size specified without stretching the picture out of shape.
Resample Method
Several different resizing methods are available. The Stretch option simply expands the picture by enlarging some of the image's pixels which can make the image appear pixelated. The other resample methods size the picture using different interpolation and averaging algorithms to produce a much higher quality image. Which method you choose depends on the individual image and personal preference.
If you need to make a few calculations while mulling over a new size for your picture, you can click the
button to display the Windows Calculator utility.
The OK button in the lower-right corner performs the Resize/Resample operation and returns you to the main PixelNEO screen. The Cancel button returns you to PixelNEO without altering the picture or selection.
