Save As
Use the Save As command to save an existing picture with a different file name. If you select a file name which already exists, PixelNEO will ask for confirmation before replacing the existing file.
To save an edited picture using a new file name, all you need to do is enter a new unique name in the file selector's File Name field and click OK. If you want to store the new file in a different drive or folder, you may use the file selectors controls to navigate to the new location prior to clicking the OK button.
The Save as Type list box at the bottom of the file selector allows you to save your work in a different file format. The number and type of file formats available depends on the type of picture you are saving. Some formats also have variants that can be chosen from the Sub Format list box. The best format for your picture depends on a number of criteria, including: size restrictions, number of colors, the picture's purpose, personal preference, etc. If you select a format that doesn't support all of the elements (layers, alpha channel, etc.) that your picture contains, then PixelNEO will provide information detailing the changes that will be required before saving to the new format.
If you have selected either JPEG, PNG or GIF file formats, the file selector's Optimize button will become enabled. This button provides access to a special optimization function that will allow you to influence the file size and quality of the saved picture.
