Use the Elliptical Selection Tool to select circular, oval or elliptical areas.


Position the mouse cursor over your picture where you want the top left of the selection ellipse to begin. Hold down the left mouse button and drag the cursor to where you would like the bottom right. When your ellipse reaches the desired size and shape, release the mouse button.


You can hold down the SHIFT key while drawing the ellipse to restrict the selection's shape to a perfect circle.
