Fill Tools
PixelNEO
’s Fill Tools are used to fill a large, similar area with a solid color, gradient, image tile or pattern. Clicking the small arrow
next to the tool's icon will display a menu containing the sub-tools below:
The Fill Selector and Color Palette can be used to change the color and the method (solid color, gradient, image tile, pattern, etc.) used to paint the filled area.
To broaden the scope of the colors included within the fill area, increase the value of the Color Tolerance control on the Option Panel (shown below). A setting of zero will select only those pixels that exactly match the color you clicked. Higher settings will expand the selection to include additional pixels with colors that fall within the tolerance range.

The Option Panel's Fill Mode selector (available with 32-bit pictures only) controls how the fill's pigment is applied to the picture. The Fill Image and Alpha Channel mode
will apply the fill to both the image surface and the alpha channel. This is the normal, default fill mode. The Image Only mode
will apply the fill just to the image surface and leave the alpha channel untouched. This mode allows you to modify the picture's color without changing its opacity. The Alpha Channel Only mode
will apply the fill just to the alpha channel and leave the image surface untouched. This allows you to change opacity without affecting the picture's color.
The area to be filled must be surrounded with a border of another color. Any gaps (even a single pixel) will allow the fill color to leak out. Should you inadvertently fill an area larger than you intended, use the Undo command to remove the fill, then examine the border for gaps (with the Zoom tool if needed) and patch the gap before filling again.
