Color Channels
The Color Channels Separate command allows you to divide a picture into its individual color planes. Separation methods include RGB (red, green and blue planes), CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow and black planes) and HSV (hue, saturation and value planes). When separated, each plane is opened as a individual grayscale picture. These pictures may be saved as they are or edited and recombined using the Color Channels
Combine command below.
The Color Channels Combine command is the counterpart to the Separate command. Although primarily intended for combining color planes created with the Separate command, this function also can be used to combine any group of pictures. This can be used to create some very unusual layering effects. Before using this command, you must first open all of the pictures you wish to combine.
